The July 2016 Community College Scholarship Winners Announced

The scholarship committee is pleased to announce our July 2016 Community College Scholarship winners: Heather Mazlik and Mary Dameron! There were over 200 applicants for this round and the decision was a difficult one, as all the applicants were worthy. Heather Mazlik of Chattahoochee Technical College in Woodstock, Georgia and Mary Dameron of Davidson County Community College in Thomasville, North Carolina stood out due to their touching stories of perseverance.

The 2016 Loan Repayment Grant Winner Announced

We are proud to announce that our 2016 Loan Repayment Grant winner has been selected! There were 1,711 entries to the contest and Ileana Angeles was selected as the winner. Ileana is the second ever recipient of the $2,000 grant, which SR Education Group started on in order to help fight the ever-expanding student debt crisis. GradReports is the leading website for quality college reviews, with over 10,000 collected. GradReports' mission is to help students make smarter decisions about education by publishing outcomes-focused reviews, and as a further commitment to helping graduates, GradReports has given Ileana $2,000 to help repay her student loans.

We are Proud to Announce our 2016 Top Graduate Schools

We are proud to announce a new initiative here at SR Education Group:! Through this new site, we're releasing the 2016 Top Graduate Schools. Since 2012, we've been collecting reviews of graduate programs around the country and we've used those 50,000 student reviews to create annual rankings. This year, in an effort to help prospective students get valuable quantitative feedback from alumni, SR Education Group has published over 35 distinct rankings covering both traditional and online programs. There are 32 program-specific Top Graduate Schools lists for campus-based schools and 7 program-specific Top Online Graduate Schools lists.

June 2016 Graduate Scholarship for Teachers Winner Announced

Our scholarship committee is pleased to announce our second-ever winner of the Graduate Scholarship for Teachers: Scarlet Elkington! Scarlet was selected out of 85 deserving candidates to receive $5,000 to put towards her Masters in Education at The University of Nevada Las Vegas. Each of our five finalists will also be awarded a $100 prize.

If you’re a recent graduate, it’s possible that the initial bliss felt in the moment of walking across that stage has started to fade as you’re beginning to think more seriously about paying off your student loans. The average Class of 2016 grad is carrying $37,172 in student debt, according to an analysis by higher education and financial aid expert, Mark Kantrowitz. With this number at an all time high, how are young people supposed to manage moving out, searching for a job, and repaying their loans? Besides working overtime and carefully budgeting for those monthly payments, there are several programs that exist to help get your student loans paid off, without you actually paying for them.

April 2016 College Scholarship Winners Announced

We’re pleased to announce that our scholarship committee has selected two winners for our $2,500 college scholarship contest! There were many impressive applicants, but the committee has recognized two that stood out due to their ability to overcome obstacles in pursuit of their goals. Hannah Harris and Tara Vayne will each receive $2,500 to put toward their education.
